Last week saw Anne Maree Wallace from Edinburgh complete her one-month intermediate course, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Anne Maree originally came on one of our one-week introductory courses, liked it, and decided that she wanted to take her new-found skills up a few levels.
That she has certainly achieved, using her month with us to design and build a stunning console table in oak and yew, with a live edge top.
It’s a piece with panache and creative talent and Anne Maree now intends to set up a workshop and make more pieces for her home.
While it’s always great to see someone being bitten by the woodworking bug, it’s something that Anne Maree can blame on her son.
She originally bought our introductory course for him as a present. But, when he was unable to attend, she came in his place…and the rest is woodworking history.
Anne Maree is a former public health doctor, now working as an executive coach and mentor.
We hope she can combine her day job with practising and taking forward the woodworking skills she has become so proficient with.
