We’re delighted that Martin Whitfield MP is to be guest of honour at our professional course graduation next month.
Martin was elected to the East Lothian constituency at the last election.
We know he’ll be impressed by the great pieces of furniture that our students are busy completing.
Just to remind you, the school’s annual public exhibition will be held at Greyfriars Kirk in the heart of old Edinburgh.
It’s a fantastic space in which to exhibit furniture.
The exhibition will run across two days. On Monday 10th June, it will run from 12 noon to 8pm, and on Tuesday 11th June from 10am to 8pm.
On the Monday evening, our guest of honour will be Professor Richard Demarco.
As in previous years, he’ll award the Demarco Prize to the student whose work transcends the functional to be a work of art.
We then move back to the workshops and dress the school for two further public events, which is followed by graduation.
On Friday 14th June, we’ll be hosting an Open Evening at the school (6pm to 8pm).
Saturday 15th June sees our Open Day at the school (10am to 4pm).
If you can, please come along to one of those events.
