But it’s always also nice to welcome a professional student onto the course who comes to us straight from school.
Julius Schmalbach from Hamburg in Germany received no formal woodworking training at school, but has long been a keen woodworker.
With a small workshop at home, he has taught himself to make small pieces of furniture such as a table and bedside cabinet.
Therefore, despite his age, Julius does start with us with some woodworking experience, and we look forward to seeing what he designs and makes during the year.
