The Chippendale school is one of the world’s pre-eminent schools of furniture design and making, and we’re looking to recruit an experienced tutor to join our team.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate all-round woodworking and design skills, with appropriate qualifications, and should preferably have teaching experience in a woodworking environment.
He or she will be joining a dedicated team of tutors, some of whom have been with the school for many years.
Each year, the Chippendale school attracts students from across the world and we are justifiably proud of the high quality of the teaching and learning experience.
The school runs one-week introductory courses, one-month intermediate courses and a nine-month professional course, and it is primarily for the professional course that we are recruiting.
Graduating students are also able to move into incubation space on the school campus, making use of the school’s equipment and machinery, with access also to the school’s tutors, and the successful candidate would be expected to provide support to on-site alumni.
The school is set in beautiful countryside only 30 minutes by car from Edinburgh.
