Isaac Young, from Suffolk, has already shown that youth is no impediment to designing and creating beautiful and inspiring pieces of furniture.
His last piece, for example, was a walnut and olive ash sideboard cabinet comprising well over 400 precisely cut pieces of wood.
The tambour doors to his cabinet were constructed from thin strips of walnut fixed to a flexible backing of artists’ canvas.
Now, in an exercise in both design excellence and speed, he’s crafted an elegant pedestal table in lustrous solid American black walnut, finished off with a coating of Danish oil.
It’s a table commissioned by his parents who wanted a table to match other furniture in their kitchen at home.
What his parents perhaps shouldn’t find out is that the entire project from conception to completion took just four days!
Isaac, who only left school last year, intends to set up his own business, Osbourne & Young, back home in Suffolk.
