It sometimes takes a while for people to find their vocation in life, and that’s true of Gianluca Caregnato, from near Milan in northern Italy.
He originally studied agriculture at technical school because of his love of nature.
But he’s also been passionate about woodworking, and slowly honing his skills as a keen hobbyist.
He eventually decided to come on a short course in April at the Chippendale school to see if a career in woodworking was for him.
It’s a route we would thoroughly recommend, because our week-long “taster” courses, which run several times a year, are an ideal way to discover whether woodworking is in your DNA.
Even better, of course, is that if you do decide to come on our immersive 30-week course, the fees from the short course are deducted.
