Three former students of the Chippendale furniture school are holding an exhibition and sale of work in Edinburgh next month.
Paddy O’Neill, Helen Guy and Dan Brophy, who graduated last year, are holding the pop-up exhibition at Leith Shore, Customs Lane, on the weekend of 15th and 16th September.
They’ve branded themselves the Edinburgh Furniture Collective and you can read more about them and the exhibition on their Facebook page.
They not only want to showcase their talents, but increase awareness of furniture makers by letting people know what they do and how they do it.
They’ll be exhibiting their different styles and talking to potential customers about what they can offer – everything from something small to a fully-fitted kitchen.
Since graduating, all three gifted woodworkers have set up their own businesses. Paddy now runs The Natural Edge Co; Helen runs Sherrardswood Bespoke Furniture; and Dan runs Black Box Furniture.
