The Chippendale International School of Furniture in East Lothian is once again offering the Ronnie Guild Bursary, providing one aspiring fine furniture maker in Scotland with a fully funded place on our renowned 10-Week Course, running from 12 May – 18 July 2025.

About the 10-Week Course

This hands-on course is designed for those with a passion for woodworking, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills. With expert tuition and a structured approach, you’ll gain a solid foundation in fine furniture making and the confidence to tackle future projects.

Our students come from all walks of life—from school leavers to career changers and retirees—all united by a love for craftsmanship. No prior experience is needed to apply for the bursary, just a willingness to learn and a keen interest in woodworking.

Criteria and Application Deadline

Open to Scotland-based applicants under the age of 30
Fully funded placement covering tuition costs
Transport, accommodation, and food & drink are NOT provided and must be self-funded Please consider this before applying.
